Anthony Michael Ventura passed away August 2, 1994 due to congestive heart failure.
Born March 9, 1920 in Green River, Utah to Louis and Elena Vetere Ventura. Tony was a pioneer in the private club business in Utah, operating numerous clubs over the years. He was an army combat engineer during World War II. He married Delores Ruddy 1947. Later divorced. He married Gloria Kerr, 1977.Survived by his wife, Gloria, Taylorsville; son, Anthony and his wife, Carol; grandchildren, Kelcee and Michael, all South Jordan; sister, Mrs. Duane (Ida) Newman, Murray; sister, Mrs. Ernie (Marie) Tillick, Magna; brother, William (Melanie) Ventura, Holladay; stepmother, Bernadine Ventura, Murray; several nieces and nephews; stepchildren, -son, Rocky (Cindy) Kerr, South Jordan; daughter, Stephanie (Dan) Boone, Seattle, Wash.; daughter, Clara (Art) Brasher, Alaska; also 11 grandchildren.
A funeral mass will be celebrated Friday, 10 a.m., at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 670 South 1100 East. A vigil service will be held Thursday, 7 p.m. also at the church, where friends may visit Thursday, 6-7 p.m.
