Teresa Byington, Weber County, Utah State University Extension home economist, won $1,000 for her work with Project CARES (Children at Risk Extended Schools).
The award is funded by Dewitt Wallace-Reader's Digest Fund "Strengthening Our Capacity to Care" program.Project CARES is an after-school program designed to meet the needs of the growing number of single parent and two- career families, Byington says.
