"Slug the Bug," the traveling childhood immunization program, will swing through Salt Lake City and other northern Utah communities during September.

The program serves children who haven't received the proper immunization for their ages. The goal is to help 50 percent of such kids in Utah get shots."This goal is attainable when compared to the many very complex issues we are dealing with as a society today," said Ginny Peterson, director of community relations for CNS Home Health Plus, Salt Lake City, and one of the program's organizers. As of late May, more than 1,000 children had been immunized.
