The Sevier County Fair will combine with the Southern Utah Junior Livestock Show to offer more than a week of varied competition and entertainment beginning Friday, Aug. 5, in Richfield.

The fair's entertainment agenda will be highlighted with a three-night stand of the musical "Annie Get Your Gun" and the annual Lions Club demolition derby. The musical will be at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, Aug. 9-11, while the demolition derby is the final event Saturday, Aug. 13.The livestock show will open Wednesday, Aug. 10, and climax with the livestock auction Friday. Activities of showing, judging and selecting grand and reserve champions in various livestock divisions will be Wednesday from 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., Thursday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Activities are scheduled Friday and Saturday, Aug. 5 and 6, preceding most fair activities the following week. The Battle of the Bands Friday at 7 p.m. will be followed Saturday with talent entertainment from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m., a Little Wrangler Rodeo at 6 p.m. and 9 p.m., and games between rodeo sessions.

Rounding out fair activities during the week of Aug. 8 will be these additional activities:

Monday: 4-H junior fashion judging, 1 p.m.

Tuesday: 4-H and home arts entries, 1 to 8 p.m.; Miss Teen Sevier Pageant, 6:30 p.m.

Wednesday: Horticulture, floriculture & rabbits entries, 9 a.m. to 12 noon; poultry entries, 2 p.m.; Mr. Sevier Contest, 6:30 p.m.

Thursday: Exhibits open, 1 to 10 p.m.; Ronald McDonald Magic Show, 6 p.m.; Utah Old Time Fiddlers concert, 7 p.m.

Friday, Senior Day: Fiddlers contest, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.; Ronald McDonald Magic Show, 11 a.m.; Miss and Mr. Sevier Talent Show, 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.; senior lunch, 12 noon; bingo, 2 p.m.; box dinner auction, 6 p.m., Riders in the Sky concert, 7 to 9:30 p.m.

Saturday: Open class horse show, 8 a.m.; pet show and 4-H fashion review, 10 a.m.; Farm Bureau Talent Show, 1 p.m.
