Ferron Peirce Jeppsen, our beloved husband, brother, father and grandpa, was called home peacefully and honorably on August 1, 1994 from cancer.

He was born on December 8, 1921 in Brigham City, Utah a son of Carl Segfried and Annie Eulalia Peirce Jeppsen. He married Irene Laughlin on November 10, 1949 in Salt Lake City, Utah.As a member of the LDS Church he lived his life in the Salt Lake Valley, which he called "My little valley." He graduated from South High School in 1939, after which he served his country as a paratrooper and parachute rigger in the 101st and 13th Airborne Division of the U.S. Army in World War II.

He was employed with General Electric Supply Company for 35 years. He loved the outdoors and traveling especially the Oregon coast.

Survived by his wife and children, Dennis Jeppsen (Elizabeth); Janis Westley (David); Kathy Butcher (Gordon); Leslie Ashton (Mark); 19 grandchildren and one great grandchild; sisters Trudy Walton (Dwight); Anna McQueen (Jack). Preceded in death by his father and mother; brothers, Norman Eli and Leslie Carl; good friend, Calvin VanWagenen; grandchildren, David Peirce and Carissa Kay Westley.

Funeral services will be held 12 Noon on Saturday, August 6, 1994 in the Wasatch Lawn Mortuary Chapel, 3401 South Highland Drive, where friends may call Friday 6-8 p.m. and Saturday 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
