Gustav Georg Albin Nilsson, 93, passed away August 3, 1994 in Salt Lake City.
Born March 1, 1901 in Tampere, Finland, son of Karl Fredrik and Kristina Brodd Nilsson. Married Britta Ceilia Liden October 3, 1936 in Eskilstuna, Sweden. She preceded him in death October 15, 1990.Our dad was a very hard worker all his life and worked in many occupations. He was a soldier in the 1st Battalion of Sweden's King Gustav V; he also worked in the Dairy and fruit business in Sweden. He served as a counselor in the Eskilstuna Branch Presidency and as a missionary of the LDS Church. He came to the U.S. in 1949, became a U.S. citizen, and worked for Zion Securities Corp. until he retired.
He visited his homeland for the last time at the age of 90. We thank you, Dad, for the wonderful legacy you left us.
Survived by children, Sven Jergen Nilsson of Las Vegas, Nev.; Lena Kristina and husband, Gary Hughes of Taylorsville; Ray Dennis and wife, Tina Stanley Nilsson of Murray; grandchildren, Marty, Jason, Adam, Ryan, and Andy Hughes; Trisha, Devan, Anthony and Darcie Nilsson; one great-granddaughter, Kristina Hughes. Preceded in death by brother, Karl Elis; sisters, Ester Lidholm, Hilja Malmkuist; Sigrid Gustafson, all of Sweden.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 6, 1994 at 10:30 at Mtn. View Memorial Estates, 7800 South 3115 East (Bengal Blvd.), where friends may call 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
