The procurement outreach office at the Ogden/Weber Chamber of Commerce helped obtain $99.1 million in contracts in the year ending June 30, a 57 percent increase over the $63.1 million in the same period a year ago.
That puts the Weber/Morgan County Region second behind the Salt Lake/Tooele County Region, which had $105.8 million in contracts awarded.Archie Gale, outreach program director, said the increase is the result of continued success of the Management Training Corp. in securing government contracts.
