SHARE AUDITIONS SCHEDULED FOR 3 PRODUCTIONS

Auditions have been scheduled for the following productions:

- WEST SIDE STORY on Saturday, Aug. 6, from 10 a.m. until noon at Pages Lane Theatre, 292 E. Pages Lane, Canterville.Be prepared to sing 16 measures of a song of your own choice. There will also be cold readings from the script and instruction in a short dance routine. The theater is especially anxious to audition "Latino" performers or those who are able to portray "Latino" characters.

The production will open Oct. 7 and continue through Nov. 19 on Mondays and Thursdays-Saturdays. The show will be double cast. For further information, call the Pages Lane Theatre at 298-1302.

- A TALE OF TWO CITIES on Friday, Aug. 12, and Monday, Aug. 15, for Pioneer Theatre Company's world premiere of Artistic Director Charles Morey's new stage adaptation of Charles Dickens' classic work.

Equity auditions: Aug. 12 from 4:15 until 5 p.m. and Aug. 15 from 2 until 2:45 p.m.

Open auditions (non-Equity): Aug. 12 from 2 to 4:15 p.m. and Aug. 15 from 2:45 until 5 p.m.

There are roles for adults of all ages and for one boy and one girl, 8-10 years of age.

All PTC auditioners must sign up for a time slot on the call board posted outside of Room 201 of the Pioneer Memorial Theatre building. Equity members may sign up for an "open" slot if they are unable to make the reserved times, but non-Equity performers must check first with the stage manager before signing up for an Equity slot.

The auditions will be held in Room 217 of the theater, located at 300 South and University (1340 East). Please bring a current photograph and resume. Rehearsals begin Oct. 3 and the production, being directed by Charles Morey, will run Oct. 26-Nov. 12.

- IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE or Winging in the Holidays, on Saturday, Aug. 13, at 4 p.m. at the Desert Star Playhouse.

Roles are available for five men and three women. Some children's parts are also available. Prepare a short musical piece. There will be cold readings from the script. Playdates are Nov. 17-Jan. 7. For further information, call the playhouse 266-7600.
