The city believes it has the premier site for a proposed community college in Davis County and is producing a 150-page booklet designed to convince the Davis County Higher Education Board.
"I'm truly convinced we have the best site in Davis County," Mayor Jerry Stevenson told the City Council.He said the tract of undeveloped land is east of I-15, north of Antelope Drive, south of U-193 and west of Hill Field Road. It has easy access from three freeway ramps and is centrally located.
Stevenson said cities must turn in their information to the higher education board by Aug. 15. A site could be selected by the end of October.
