Sheldon Steed Colemere, age 80, died August 6, 1994.
Born June 20, 1914 in Farmington, Utah, a son orf Franklin and Clara Steed Colemere. He married Doris Lambert, November 25, 1935 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Shelly was raised in Kaysville, where he learned the value of work and integrity. He was employed with Little America Stations for 25 years, and retired as a purchasing agent for the Fairmont Hotels. Shelly also served as the secretary of the South Davis Lions Club, while he and Doris lived in North Salt Lake. They owned a summer home at Beaver Springs in Oakley Canyon, located on the upper Weber River area. He loved the western outdoors and really enjoyed western music demonstrated in his activity as a square dance caller. He was an active member of the LDS Church.Survivors include a brother, Ferren Colemere, of Lakeport, Calif.; a sister, Fern Cabral, of St. Francis, Minn.; children: Joyce L. Smith, Bountiful; Janice L. VanCampen and her husband, Dennis, of Sandy; Shirley L. Seeley, Sandy; Richard Lambert Colemere and his wife, Deanna Gilgen Colemere, of Farmington; nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren.
Viewing Tuesday evening, August 9, 1994, 6-8 p.m. at Mountain View Memorial Estates Chapel. Funeral services Wednesday, August 10, 1994, 12 noon at the Memorial Estates Mountain View Chapel, 3115 East 7800 South, where friends may call one hour prior to services. Burial, Mountain View Memorial Estates Cemetery.
