Garkane Power Association officials have announced a generator unit will be constructed at Hanksville, Wayne County.

The project has been approved by the Utah Air Quality Board. State officials said the engineering evaluation and air quality impact analysis shows no adverse air quality impacts are expected.

The construction proposal and estimates of the effect on air quality may be viewed at the Air Quality Division, 1950 W. North Temple in Salt Lake City, where written comments are being accepted.
