SHARE GUNMAN TO FACE AGGRAVATED-ASSAULT CHARGE

Salt Lake County prosecutors filed an aggravated-assault charge Tuesday against a man who held a woman's automatic handgun to her head and then stole the weapon. The offense is a third-degree felony.

The man, 26, address not reported, was also charged with second-degree felony theft. He was apparently arguing with the woman at her home near 700 East and 800 South on Aug. 13 when he loaded her gun, threatened her, then left with the firearm, according to court information. The man's bail was set at $10,000.
