In a recent press release, Rep. James Hansen implies that the president may send troops to Haiti to "satisfy the Black Caucus."

Is the congressman serious in his analysis that this would be the main purpose for an invasion of that country, or is he trying to divide the races? If so, he should be ashamed of himself. This may be the same kind of rationale that he uses to justify his continued running for office after originally promising to retire after six terms by saying he would honor that pledge when "all other members of Congress are affected."

Would he apply these same arguments to his religious commitment that he will observe them only when all members of his faith do the same? I thought principle was supposed to stand before expediency.

To all of you people who truly believe in term limitation, here is an opportunity to put your vote where your commitment is.
