LAKE MONSTER MAKES WAVES IN CHINA, GETS CAUGHT - ON VIDEO

An elusive Chinese lake monster that creates 6-foot-high waves and appears on the surface as big as a bull's head has been captured on a tourist's video in northern China's Heavenly Lake, the official media said Friday.

"The creature, which moves as fast as a walking man and turns up large waves, showed up on Aug. 20 and Sept. 2," Xinhua news agency reported. At the first sighting, South Korean tourists were startled by a "black thing that surfaced in the central part of the lake and swam away leaving high waves behind."

But the travel guide, Kim Hyang-Ram, had the foresight to make a video of the creature.

Two weeks later, a creature with a blond head emerged from the depths and swam around for 10 minutes in front of official visitors.
