Three Highland High School teens were arrested Friday for investigation of vandalism that involved the application of graffiti to various interior walls of the Foothill Village Shopping complex, 1400 S. Foothill Drive, says a Salt Lake police news release.

Officer Joe Clark, in cooperation with a private security firm and the Salt Lake City Mobile Watch, arrested the youths, ages 15, 16 and 17, after reviewing a security surveillance video taken Monday, Sept. 5, the release said. The police news release said the video filmed two boys marking up the walls with magic markers, causing an estimated $500 in damage, while another acted as a lookout.

The complex had been the target of consecutive "tagging" in the last week, according to police reports. The teens were referred to juvenile court.
