DEATH: ARLENE RAE CHANDLER PONS

Beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away September 8, 1994 in Salt Lake City after a long illness.

Born on July 20, 1933 to Leila V. McFarland and Harry D. Chandler, both preceded her in death. Married to Leroy Dalton, later divorced and Hendrick Pons, later divorced.Survived by her sister, Mrs. Dorothy (James R.) Simmons, West Valley City; four daughters, Mrs. Richard E. (Laura Dalton) Ingleby, West Valley City; Linda K. Pons, Salt Lake City; Mrs. John (Gloria) Rhoten, Huntington, Utah; Mrs. Rick (Becky) Knowles, Reno, Nevada; and two sons, Mitchell (Terri) Pons, Sandy; Kelly (Janie) Pons, Magalia, Calif.; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by a daughter, Traci K. Pons.

Arlene was devoted to God and her family. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was an excellent seamstress, and tole painter, and was always busy working on a new arts and crafts project, to be given as treasured gifts to her family and friends. Her love and guidance will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her, and we shall all look forward to the day when we are reunited with her.

Funeral services ill be Monday, Sept. 12, 1994, 11 a.m. West Valley Utah Stake Center, 3963 So. Peachwood Dr., (3480 West). Friends may call Sunday 6-8 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State St., and Monday 10-10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment: Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
