The American Express Foundation will grant Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Utah $1,900 from a fund established to award organizations in which American Express employees volunteer on a regular basis.

It is one of 120 organizations selected to receive a total of $80,020 from American Express' Volunteer Action Fund. The grant will fund a new computer system at the agency's office.

"Every contribution that is made to Big Brothers/Big Sisters is critical to the program's existence. The upgraded computers will enhance our ability to match children with volunteers," said Dana Eitner, executive director.

The Volunteer Action Fund, a pilot program of the American Express Foundation, was instituted to recognize employees who volunteer in their communities.
