DEATH: LOUISE ECKERSLEY

Louise Jorgensen Eckersley, age 70, passed away peacefully September 10, 1994, in a Salt Lake City hospital.

Louise was born January 23, 1924, in Salt Lake City, Utah, the daughter of Alfred C. and Emily K. Jorgensen. Her family moved to Moab where she spent her youth; she always had a warm spot in her heart for Southern, Utah. She married Vernon C. Eckersley on January 23, 1957, in Reno, Nevada: he preceded her in death on March 13, 1992.Louise was employed for many years at the EIMAC Co., where she was noted for her annual rendition of "O' Christmas Tree". A friend to all, Louise always had something to brighten the day for those she came in contact with.

Survived by three sons: Allen (& Linda) Eckersley, Bryan (& Karla Johnson) Eckersley, all from Clearfield; and Rand (& Pamela) Eckersley, from Salt Lake City; a daughter, Lee (& Tom) Franks, also Salt Lake City; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a brother, Boyd (& Mary) Jorgensen, Salt Lake City; a surrogate sister, "Jo" Lees, Bellevue, WA; and "Brother" Brent (& Milly) Hoar, Sandy, UT. Preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Saley; grandson, Eddie Saley; and a brother, Glen Jorgensen.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 13th, 1 p.m., at the Holbrook Funeral Chapel, 3251 So. 2300 East, where friends may call Monday, from 6 to 8 p.m., and on Tuesday for one hour prior to the services. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Louise's name to the American Cancer Society, 941 E. 3300 So. (84106), or the American Lung Assoc. of Utah, 1930 So. 1100 E. (84106). Interment: Larkin Sunset Gardens of the Valley. Funeral Directors: The Holbrook Funeral Chapel.
