CAPTION ONLY: YOUNG ANGLERS SPROUT AT FAIRMONT PARK

Several youngsters enjoy Saturday's inaugural "Going Fishing with Key Bank" at Fairmont Park. More than 900 children ages 2-14 cast for 2,000 rainbow trout that were placed in the lake and also angled for dozens of prizes, including sleeping bags and fishing rods. They also learned some basics from the Utah Division of Wildlife Resource's "Pathways to Fishing" program. Organizers say the event was so popular that they hope to hold two or three like it next year. Smith's, Country Crisp, Coca-Cola, Domino's Pizza, Angler's Inn and Gastronomy donated food, equipment and more than $3,000. The park's lake, located at 2245 S. McClelland, will remain open to fishing for a week. "There are still plenty of beautiful rainbows left," said Byron Gunderson from Angler's Inn.
