SHARE CIVIL SERVICE TEST IS OCT. 22 FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT JOBS

The Salt Lake Police Department has openings for careers in law enforcement and will administer a written test Saturday, Oct. 22, to establish a Civil Service hiring register, a police department news release stated.

Applicants must be older than 21 years as of Oct. 22 and must have a high school degree or GED equivalent degree. They must also possess a valid Utah driver license and must be a U.S. citizen.Applicants passing the written and physical agility tests will participate in a practical response to police situations. Successful candidates will be ranked on a hiring register, the release said.

Test registration forms may be obtained in the lobby of the Public Safety Building, 315 E. 200 South. Registration deadline is 4 p.m. Monday, Oct. 17.
