CLINTON LAMENTS END OF BASEBALL SEASON

President Clinton, saddened by the end of "what could have been the best baseball season in 50 years," says government should consider removing the sport's antitrust exemption.

Clinton said Wednesday he has not studied the issue closely, but added: "If this is just turned into another business in America then that's an issue it seems to me that has to be examined."He told reporters the matter deserves study "if for the first time in history, we're not going to have a World Series and if we have ended what could have been the best baseball season in 50 years."
