Jed Ziegler pushes his 1957 Messerschmitt roadster that has become the subject of debate. Ziegler appeared in municipal court in Concord, Calif., earlier this week to fight a ticket he received for not wearing a helmet while driving the three-wheel vehicle. A 15-minute trial was unable to settle the question of whether the vehicle is a car, as Ziegler says, or a motorcycle, as the citation says.
