Dee Chivers, 63, died Sept. 14, 1994, at the Duchesne County Hospital in Roosevelt, Utah. He was born May 28, 1931, in Vernal, son of Lewis Earl and Bessie May Richens Chivers.

Stella Laverne Brooks Chivers, 58, died Sept. 13, 1994, at the Duchesne County Hospital. She was born August 30, 1936, in Salt Lake City, Utah, a daughter of Carl Vernon and Fern Annette Hadlock Brooks. She married James Faircloth; was later divorced. Dee and Stella were married Oct. 18, 1960, in Elko, Nevada.They are survived by: their daughters, Mrs. Humberto (Julie) Trevizo, Mrs. Duane (Jody) Allen and Mrs. Gary (Jolene) Holmes, all of Battle Mountain, Nevada; Mrs. Mark (Karren) Harston, Buckley, Washington; Mrs. Anthony (DeNisa) Nield, Mooselake, Washington; 21 grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

Dee is also survived by brother and sister, Tex Chivers, Whiterocks, Utah; Mrs. Norman (Lola) Gaede, Tablerock, Wyo.; Mrs. Don (Kay) Johnson, Mrs. John "Butch" (Billie) Kay, both Vernal.

Stella is also survived by her parents, Fern and Carl Brooks, and brother, Curtis (Bud) Brooks, all of Salt Lake City, Utah.

Joint funeral services will be Saturday, Sept. 17, 1994, at 2 p.m. at the Ashley Ward Chapel, 2575 North 1500 West, Vernal, Utah. Friends may call at Thomson's Vernal Mortuary Friday evening, 7 to 9 p.m., and Saturday, 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Vernal Memorial Park.
