Intermountain Health Care is negotiating the possible purchase of two large health-care clinics in the Salt Lake area.
Bryner Clinic, 745 E. 300 South, and the Salt Lake Clinic, with offices in several locations in Taylorsville, Cottonwood, Sandy, Draper and Salt Lake City, are part of the negotiations. If the sales take place, they would be part of IHC's effort to become more closely integrated with physicians in the region."Yes, we are talking with both the Salt Lake Clinic and the Bryner Clinic, but it's still at the discussion point. There's been nothing finalized," Daron Cowley, media relations manager for IHC, said on Friday.
Both clinics also confirmed that negotiations were taking place.
"The Bryner Clinic has been negotiating to become part of IHC, but it has not been sold yet," said an employee of that group. At the Salt Lake Clinic, an employee said negotiations were going on but that an agreement "absolutely had not" been finalized.
