DEATH: ALICE B. RICHES

Alice Bennett Riches, age 93, our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully at her daughter's home Saturday, September 17, 1994.

Born October 3, 1900 in Santaquin, Utah to her parents, William and Josephine Ahlin Bennett. Married Lawrence B. Riches, January 12, 1921 in West Jordan. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She dedicated her life to her husband and family. She lived in her home on 11th East 70 years. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served as a Relief Society president and was a visiting teacher for over 50 years.She is survived by daughters, Enid (Earl) Jacklin, Doris (Leo) Wood, Joyce (David) Locke, Barbara (Howard) Cooper, Diane (Blaine) Braithwaite, sons, Byron (Pete) Riches, Mark (Marie) Riches, also survived by 33 grandchildren, and 56 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by husband, Lawrence, daughter, Afton and son, Lawrence (Bud).

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 21, 1994, 12 noon at the Grant 8th Ward Chapel, 3400 South 1100 East. Friends may call Tuesday 6-8 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State and Wednesday from 11-11:45 a.m. at the church. Interment, Elysian Gardens.
