DEATH: MARGERY BADGER TAYLOR

Margery Badger Taylor, 84, passed away at the LDS Hospital on September 1, 1994.

Born in Salt Lake City, Utah on December 6, 1909 to Jesse T. and Mary Swan Badger. Married Wm. Frederick Taylor April 16, 1949; he preceded her in death. Active member of the LDS Church, holding many positions. Graduated from LDS High School; held Bachelor and Master degrees from the U of U, did graduate work at the University of Berkeley, Calif.; and Merrill Palmer School, Detroit, Michigan in Child Development. She was instrumental in starting Utah's school lunch program, also organized nursery schools for the federal government. Regional director, school lunch program, Atlanta, Georgia. Nutritionist at Tripler General Hospital, Hawaii at the time of Pearl Harbor.Survived by three brothers and two sisters: Paul L. Badger; Briant G. Badger (Wanda); Mary Badger Farrar, Mildred Badger Dorius, all of Salt Lake City; Sydney V. Badger (Frances) of Atherton, Calif.; also by many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Saturday, 12 noon at the Winder 8th Ward, 1495 East 4720 So. (Murray Holladay Rd.). Viewing on Friday 6-8 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Lawn, 2350 East 1300 So., and one hour prior to services at the church. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
