NO GUN, NO THREAT - BUT MAN GRABS PILE OF CASH AND RUNS

A gas station clerk counting out the night's receipts was robbed of part of the cash Wednesday night when a man walked in the station, saw the money and fled after grabbing a handful, according to Bountiful police.

The incident, which police said is being classified as a theft rather than a robbery, occurred at the Texaco station at Main and 2600 South just after midnight Thursday morning. The man did not display a weapon or make any threats, according to police. He came into the station and asked for a glass of water, police said, and when he saw the cash being counted, grabbed a handful and took off running.

The suspect is described by police as a white male in his mid-20s, about six feet tall, 165 pounds, with dirty blonde hair.
