I am against term limitation because it limits our freedom of choice. We already have the power to limit the terms of our politicians by voting them out of office.
Term limitation is a political smoke screen. It is a catchy political phrase which ignores the real issue: Is the person effective in the office he or she holds, and does he or she vote the way we want him or her to vote?If we do not like the way our senators or representatives vote, we can help remove them from office by voting against them. If we like the way our senators or representatives vote, we can help retain them in office by our vote. The choice is ours.
The length of time a person serves is inherently neither good or bad. If our politicians are voting for the projects we feel are good, their experience is a great advantage to their effectiveness.
If we disagree with their voting record, their experience works against us.
Don't take away our freedom of choice by voting for term limitation. We already have the freedom to vote them out of office.
