PROSTATE, COLON CANCER SCREENINGS PLANNED

Health screenings for prostate and colon cancer will be offered by St. Mark's Hospital in October. The American Cancer Society recommends an annual prostate screening for men age 40 and older, and an annual colon cancer screening for men and women age 50 and older.

The colon cancer screening will take place Oct. 11 and 18 from 3 to 7 p.m. in Suite 320 of the St. Mark's Hospital Medical Office Building B. There is no charge for this procedure, but appointments are required.The prostate cancer screening will take place each Wednesday in October from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Midvale Family Care Clinic, 6947 S. 900 East. The blood test is $18, and appointments are required. Call 268-7422 to make an appointment for either screening.
