All you've been hearing for months now is that wealthy vampire novelist Anne Rice is unhappy about Tom Cruise being cast as the lead in the movie version of her novel, "Interview with the Vampire." Buck up, though, because the latest word is that Anne has done a one-eighty on the matter.
Indeed, producer David Geffen tells Entertainment Weekly that "she loves it. The movie, the performances were beyond her wildest expectations."Thanks, David.
"By the way, she thought Tom was incredible."
Sorry, we thought you were finished. Hey, here's a Variety ad in which Anne herself expounds on her change of heart:
"The charm, the humor, and the invincible innocence which I cherish in my beloved hero Lestat are all alive in Tom Cruise's courageous performance."
Really, someone should nominate him for the Medal of Honor.
