DEATH: MARION W. ARCHIBALD

Our loving and dedicated husband, father and grandfather, Marion Wilson Archibald, 81, died September 22, 1994.

Born October 27, 1912 in Hyrum, Utah, to James Hendry and Carrie Marie Wilson Archibald. He graduated from Utah State University in 1934. He married Josephine Thatcher, January 20, 1936 in Denver, Colorado. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple May 20, 1948. An active member of the LDS Church, he had served a mission with his wife in Minnesota, as a branch president, executive secretary, ward clerk, and served as a Provo Temple worker for 13 years. He worked as a civil engineer for the Bureau of Reclamation for 39 years. He enjoyed gardening, being outdoors, and spending time with his grandchildren.He is survived by his wife of 58 years; children, Lee T. and May Archibald, Fountain Valley, Calif.; Linda and Bill Kirshner, Sunset; Kathy and Paul Wright, Salt Lake; Margaret and John Nielsen, Payson; 12 grandchildren, five great-granddaughters; three sisters, Isebelle McNeely, Cherrol Burnham, Drue Chambers. Preceded in death by parents, a brother, Ezra, and two grandsons.

Funeral services will be Monday, 12 noon in the American Fork 12th Ward, 673 East 300 North. Friends may call at the Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North, Sunday 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday at the church one hour prior to services. Burial, American Fork Cemetery.
