Frank W. Raby, 91, died September 21, 1994 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Born May 11, 1903 in Salt Lake City the son of William Zachariah and Karen Madsen Raby. Married Edith Martha Ballstaedt, January 4, 1930. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Edith preceded him in death on July 28, 1982.He was an active member of the LDS Church having held numerous church positions. He was musically talented, being accomplished in the violin and harmonica. He loved to sing and was a member of his ward choir for many years. Frank was a printer by trade, working in various print shops in the Salt Lake area. He retired after many years with the Deseret News Publishing Co.
Survivors, daughters, Bonnie Jeanne (Hubert) Wilson and Karen D. Versluis; sons, Robert D. (Janet) Raby and Lee H. (Eira) Raby; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by son, Frank Blaine Raby; sister, Ida Vasiloff; brothers, Louis C. and Hans C. Jacobsen.
Funeral services Monday, September 26, 12 noon, Larkin Mortuary Chapel, 260 East South Temple, where friends and family may call Sunday 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the services on Monday. Interment, Salt Lake City cemetery.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the healthcare workers, nurses and doctors for the many acts of kindness given to their father.
