DEATH: ROSE T. MCWHERTER

Our beloved mother and grandmother, Rose Tapaau McWherter, 75, passed away September 22, 1994 at her home.

Born May 14, 1919 in Lufilufi, Western Samoa to Taulima Manuo and Tagi Lefale. Married William James Belcher in 1938. He preceded her in death, February 18, 1949. Rose resided in Fiji, New Zealand and Hawaii and finally settled in Salt Lake City in 1967. Wherever she lived she made many friends. Employed at LDS Hospital until 1979 and upon retirement volunteered at Welfare Square until her death. A faithful member of the LDS Church, she loved and served her family with tireless and true devotion. Her courage, kindness, generosity and great love will be a timeless legacy for her posterity. We love you Mama and will miss you so much. God bless you.Survivors: daughters, Rona (Jack) Erickson Minton of Salt Lake City; Jeannie (Richard) Sheldon of Kauai, Hawaii; Marguerite Ferrier-Watson of Salt Lake City; brother, Feterika Manuo of California; sister, Aati Tuanilole of American Samoa; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services Monday, September 26, 1994, 12:00 noon, 9th Ave. and K St. Friends may call at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple, Sunday 6-8 p.m. and at the church Monday, one hour prior to the service. Interment: Salt Lake City Cemetery.
