The State Board of Education has taken action against two educators for unprofessional conduct and a third for sexual misconduct.
The board acted on the recommendations of the Utah Professional Practices Advisory Commission.The board accepted a stipulated agreement that will allow George H. Peterson, a teacher in South Sanpete District, to surrender his certificate voluntarily in lieu of a hearing. His certification will be revoked under terms of the agreement, which was prompted "as a result of sexual misconduct," board minutes say.
The teaching certificate of Robert W. Stewart, a former Provo district teacher, was revoked "as a result of unprofessional conduct."
All certificates of Gordon S. Loosle, a former administrator who has not recently been employed in Utah, were suspended for seven years "as a result of unprofessional conduct."
