DEATH: EDISON AMOS HARKINS, JR.

Edison Amos Harkins, Jr., age 72, passed away September 26, 1994 at his home in Nephi, Utah.

He was born September 29, 1921 in Trenton, New Jersey to Edison Amos Harkins, Sr. and Amanda Matilda Taylor. He married Norma Evans Christiansen June 26, 1948 in Nephi, Utah.He was a veteran of World War II serving in the Navy. He was raised and educated in New Jersey. He worked in the rubber and steel industry as an electrician. He was an honest man of integrity all his days. He will be sorely missed by all whose lives he entered.

Survivors: wife, Nephi; children, Janice C. Parkin (Richard), Layton; Richard Christiansen (Anita), Highland; Alice J. Harris (Don), Nephi; 22 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren; one brother, Benjamin Harkins, Virginia and one sister, Mrs. Peter (Ruth) Zasowski, New Jersey. Preceded in death by two sons, Larry Christensen and Edison A. Harkin III, one great-grandson.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 29, 1994 in the Nephi LDS Stake Center, 351 North 100 West. Friends may call Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home, 94 West 300 North and at the church one hour prior to services. Burial in the Vine Bluff Cemetery, Nephi, Utah.
