Born April 18, 1920, Bayne Martin McMillan, 74, passed away September 27, 1994 after courageously enduring many years of heart and lung complications.
His love for his wife of 48 years and for his children and grandchildren surpassed any other interests. Among his most valued accomplishments was his distinguished service in the U.S. Marine Corps for four years during World War II. He served valiantly in the Pacific Theater and received the Purple Heart. He also worked 44 years for the Union Pacific Railroad and enjoyed many friendships there.As an Elder in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints he was sealed to Geraldine B. McMillan in the Salt Lake Temple.
Survivors include his wife, sons and daughters-in-law, Bayne and Delene; Mark and Anna; daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Paul Reynolds; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; sisters, Beverly Williams, (his twin) and Leigh Engelbrecht.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 29, 1994 at 11:00 a.m. at the Winder Stake Center, 4366 South 1500 East. Friends may call on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at the Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive and at the stake center Thursday from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment Elysian Burial Gardens.
