DEATH: CATHLEEN DAWN GRIGSBY SCOTT

Precious daughter (Mama's Big Girl), Cathleen Dawn Grisby Scott, born February 23, 1964, died September 23, 1994.

The time has come now for me to say goodbye. No sad farewells will we share, for you will live in me and I will live in you. No words can say how much we care. We walk together on the dusty roads of life, but keep our eyes upon a star. We've laughed at the little things and cried along the way. I've come to know the best friend who you are. Walk in Heaven for me with Curt, and sing your happy melodies and keep my memory not far away. May you find that life there will bring all the happiness and best of everything. Take good care of you and your brother today. Go to sleep sweet Cathie, Mother's not far away. Cathie, the beautiful girl with the beautiful name; the most gifted, talented special angel of a girl whom any mother, sister, or friend could have. She had many hurts and heartaches in this world to bare, but she faced them the only way that she could. She was an artist, crocheter, writer of beautiful poems to her mother. Missing her will be our trial on earth, but she has many people on the other side who are happy to see her. I pray to God to keep Cathie safe, keep her near, but he must have been asleep and didn't hear her for surely if He did, she would still be here.Survived by her mother and step father; her darling Angel children, Bryan Lynn, and Corey; brothers and sisters, Michelle Grigsley, Annette Miller, Candace Sandoval, Mikie Pacheco, Brett Redd; grandmother, Maryan Paxton; ex-husband, Steve Scott; aunt, Gloria Woolman; special friend, Kris Boe; numerous cousins, uncles and loving friends. Preceded in death by her loving brother, Curt; her father; uncle, Wayne; and grandmother, Condie. 11 nieces and nephews, especially Jennifer and Kayla.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 1, 1994, at 1 p.m. at the Deseret Mortuary Chapel, 36 East 700 South, where friends may call on Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. and again on Saturday, one hour prior to services.
