The Utah Valley chapter of the Utah State Historical Society will embark on a new season of historical entertainment with a dinner in the BYU Wilkinson Center Skyroom on Tuesday, Oct. 11, at 7 p.m.

"The Music and Folklore of the San Rafael Swell" will be presented by Wes Curtis, a well-known entertainer and songwriter from Orangeville, Emery County. A slide presentation will be the backdrop for a 45-minute program of Curtis' original songs and the history and lore of eastern Utah.Seven more monthly lectures and an annual trek will complete the chapter's schedule. Annual dues are $5 per person or $7.50 per couple. The cost for the opening dinner program will be $12 a person; checks should arrive at P.O.
