BREAST-FEEDING COALITION PRESENTS 4 AWARDS

Lee Heery, president of the Utah Coalition to Promote Breastfeeding, recently presented awards in four categories to local organizations that supported breast-feeding in Utah.

Willowcreek Pediatrics was honored as best physician. It provides current breast-feeding information, encourages breast-feeding and refers any women with problems to a certified lactation educator.The state WIC Program was recognized in the public health organization category for establishing the Utah Coalition to Promote Breastfeeding and training staff as certified lactation educators.

Comphealth received the business award for purchasing electronic breast pumps for its employees and providing release time for women who breast feed.

The South Towne Mall was also honored for establishing a private breast-feeding room in the mall.
