Led by senior JoLynne Godfrey and setter Karla Koop, the third-ranked Bonneville Lakers came from behind to defeat second-ranked Weber 12-15, 15-13 and 16-14 Tuesday before a standing-room only crowd. Godfrey recorded 25 kills, 11 blocks, six assists and four digs in the 1-hour and 45-minute match while Koop dished out 34 assists and nine blocks.
Weber (5-1) appeared to be on its way to a two-game victory after winning the first game and taking an 8-0 lead in the second. But Bonneville (5-0) showed its mettle in making a 15-5 run to tie the match at one game apiece.With the momentum swung their way the Lakers jumped out to a 12-4 advantage in the third game before the Warriors fought back to tie the game at 14-14.
Bonneville recovered from the rally to score the final two points and lay claim to first place in the region and secure bragging rights until the two meet again next month at Weber.

At Fremont, Shannon Hadley's four aces helped the Silver Wolves ravage the Falcons. Rindy Haws added six assists for Fremont (3-2).

At Roy, the Lancers improved to 2-3 in region play by downing the Royals.
Orem def. Alta 15-11, 15-11
At Alta, Brenda Richan and Jena VanDeGraaf combined to slam 22 kills and lead the Tigers past the Hawks. Susan Somerfelt returned from an ankle injury to record seven kills for Orem (3-1).
American Fork def. Hillcrest 15-7, 15-4
At American Fork, Natalie Whittaker's five kills led a balanced attack as the Cavewomen defeated the Huskies. Keri Cloward led the defensive effort for American Fork (4-0) with three solo blocks.
Mountain View def. Brighton 15-5, 15-4
At Brighton, the Bruins cruised to an easy victory behind the play of Lori Henry. Mountain View improved to 3-1 with the win. Heather Felix played well in the loss for Brighton (0-4).
Bear River def. Ben Lomond 15-3, 15-7
At Ben Lomond, Haley Wood and Courtney Chournos led the Bears past the Scots. Bear River (1-4) picked up its first region win of the season.
Sky View def. Mountain Crest 15-5, 9-15, 15-7
At Mountain Crest, the second-ranked Bobcats picked up a crucial region road victory by defeating the fourth-ranked Mustangs. Sky View improved to 5-0 with the victory. Jenny Hoffman played well offensively for Mountain Crest (3-2).
Logan def. Ogden 15-11, 15-9
At Logan, the Grizzlies prepared for their showdown with Sky View on Thursday by downing the Tigers. Tharromonny In had a good setting effort for Logan (5-0).
Tooele def. Granite 15-3, 15-11
At Granite, setter Michelle Workman's assists helped the Buffaloes bury the Farmers. Tooele upped its region record to 2-1 with the win.
Judge def. Murray 15-4, 15-11
At Judge, Bridget Walsh's perfect passing game topped a great night for the Bulldogs as they dumped the Spartans. Lindsay Bevans added seven kills for Judge (2-0).
East def. Cyprus 15-10, 15-12
At East, Liz Gardener had five blocks and Elyse Stowell had five kills to lead the Leopards over the Pirates. Charlotte Norman hit 14 of 14 serve attempts for East (2-2) which proved too much for Cyprus (0-3).
Olympus def. West 15-6, 15-8
At West, Leslie Gunderson had a great hitting and setting game that paced the Titans to a region victory over the Panthers. Danica Richins and Brooke Stevens also displayed great offensive games for region-leading Oly (3-0).
Payson def. Timpview 15-11, 11-15, 15-12
At Timpview, the Lions (3-1) played well enough to outlast the Thunderbirds. Ashley Rencher played well in a losing effort for Timpview (1-3).
Spanish Fork def. Springville 15-6, 15-12
At Spanish Fork, the top-ranked Dons were able to dispatch the Red Devils. Malissa Bingham had 10 kills to lead the way for Spanish Fork (4-0).
Provo def. Pleasant Grove 15-9, 15-4
At Provo, Lori Red slammed seven kills and served the final five points to help the Bulldogs take a bite out of the Vikings. Alanna Benally also had seven kills for Provo (3-1).
Union def. Lehi 15-6, 15-6
At Lehi, the fifth-ranked Cougars ran past the Pioneers behind the play of Jenni Nielson. Union improved to 3-1 in region play while Lehi fell to 1-3.
Wasatch def. Park City 15-1, 15-5
At Wasatch, the third-ranked Wasps (3-1) recovered from their home loss to Union last week to defeat the Miners (0-4).
Rowland Hall-St. Marks def. Dugway 15-2, 15-1
At Dugway, the Winged Lions had little trouble in dispatching the Mustangs. RHSM improved to 5-2 with the victory.
Uintah def. South Summit 12-15, 15-12, 16-14
At South Summit, the fourth-ranked Utes of 3A outlasted the third-ranked Wildcats of 2A. South Summit's defense kept it in the match but the middle play of the Utes won the game.
Rich def. Morgan 15-7, 12-15, 15-12
At Morgan, the top-ranked Rebels of 1A showed what they were made of in squeezing out a road victory over the Trojans, the second-ranked team in 2A. Haley Hansen had five kills and seven digs in a losing effort for Morgan.
