Shawn G. Hansen in essence stated that BYU is infringing on a student's free agency by requiring segregated housing (Forum, Sept. 16). The students exercise free agency by choosing to attend BYU. The consequence of that choice is having to abide by BYU's policies and regulations. If a person finds these to be objectionable, couldn't he use his free agency to attend another school? We are free to choose, but we cannot control the consequences of our choices.
