Jeff Manookian will lead the Intermountain Chamber Orchestra in its second concert Saturday, Oct. 1, at the Cathedral Church of St. Mark, 231 E. 100 South.

Featured on the 8 p.m. program will be Salt Lake cellist Ellen Bridger, who will solo in Tchaikovsky's Variations on a Rococo Theme. In addition, the 33-member orchestra will be heard in Haydn's Symphony No. 91 in E flat major, Delius' "On Hearing the First Cuckoo in Spring" and the "Orphee-Serenade" of American composer William Bolcom.A graduate of Boston University, where she was awarded the Outstanding String Player Prize, Bridger has studied with Joseph Gingold, Walter Trampler and Nadia Boulanger. Since moving to Utah in 1986, she has performed with the Utah Symphony, the Nova Chamber Music Series, the Contemporary Music Consortium and the Park City International Music Festival.
