A teenager was severely injured Saturday morning in a fall while hiking at Bridal Veil Falls.

Justin Arrington, 17, Mesa, Ariz., was in serious condition with a broken back at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center, a nursing supervisor said. He also had injuries to his head, neck and legs.Arrington was climbing above Upper Falls when he lost his footing and fell to the base of the falls, according to the Utah County sheriff's office. The county's search-and-rescue team carried Arrington off the mountain, and he was taken by helicopter to the hospital.
