DEATH: FLOYE VIRGINIA DEAN JAMISON

Floye Virginia Dean Jamison, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend passed away on September 1, 1994 in Bountiful, Utah of lymphoma.

She was born July 6, 1924, daughter of Floyd Burl and Julia Alice Smith Dean in Alhambra, California where she resided for her first fifty four years. She has lived in Bountiful for the past seventeen years. Married John Preston Jamison on November 26, 1944 in Alhambra. Was a convert to the LDS Church. They were sealed in the Los Angeles Temple May 18, 1957. Has been active in many church callings. Graduated from UCLA in Elementary Education. Taught school for 20 years, taking time out to raise her family. Was named Teacher of the Year in 1975. Interested in music, gardening and genealogy. She was a friendly, outgoing and busy person.She is survived by her husband of 50 years; three daughters and one son, Carolyn (Stephen) Young, of Sandy; Christine (Royden) Britsch, of Midvale; Dean (Paula) Jamison, of Centerville; and Cathryn (Kenneth) Judd, of Farmington; 14 grandchildren; a sister, Marjorie Fitt, of Alhambra, California.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 7, 1994 at 11 a.m. in the Bountiful 30th Ward chapel, off 2150 South at 650 East. Friends may call at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, Tuesday evening from 6:30-8 p.m. and Wednesday at the church from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to services.

Interment - Bountiful City Cemetery.
