DEATH: CHAD SILAS GILES

Chad Silas Giles returned to his Father in Heaven on Friday, September 2, 1994 following a construction accident.

Chad was born August 11, 1972 in Salt Lake City, a son of James Thomas and Mary Ann Crosby Giles.Chad grew up in the Salt Lake area. He was a gifted athlete and played football and basketball throughout his school years. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed skiing, hiking and mountain biking. He was very artistic and loved to write poetry. Chad was a member of the LDS Church. He had many struggles in his short life, yet he daily did random acts of kindness. He loved people and had many friends.

Survived by his parents, Salt Lake City; brother, Clinton with the U.S. Marine Corp in Scotland; two sisters, Chelly and Crystal (Chris) Livingston; and niece, Marley Paige Livingston, all of Salt Lake City; grandparents, Iona Giles, Phoenix, Arizona; Silas and Nellie Crosby, West Valley City; many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 12 noon at the Grandview 1st Ward, 2930 South 2000 East. Friends may call Tuesday, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, and Wednesday at the church from 10:45-11:45 a.m. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
