US WEST CELLULAR TO TEST DROPPED-CALLS CREDIT PLAN

For the next 90 days, US WEST Cellular will test a program giving customers full automatic credit for a call dropped because of transmission problems. In the past, a customer had to call US WEST Cellular Customer Services and notify of the dropped call.

John Griffith, area general manager, said it doesn't matter if the dropped call is personal or for business, it will automatically to credited on the customer's account.When the test is completed in 90 days, the company will evaluate customer response to determine if it will be continued.
