1 Gun Range fire - About 1,000 acres along Weber-Cache county line north of Liberty. Contained Friday night; controlled at 6 p.m. Sunday.
2 Reilly Canyon fire - About 3,000 acres brush and timber burned, including 1,000 acres on Saturday, in the wilderness study area of the Deep Creek Mountains, located about 5-10 miles east of Ibapah, Tooele County. Earlier, fire threatened bristlecone pines. CAUSE: Lightning. FIREFIGHTERS: Eight 20-person crews. Total personnel: about 200. Three helicopters among equipment. STATUS: Containment expected 6 p.m. Thursday, and control, 6 p.m. Friday.
3 Shingle Creek Cliff fire - Small fire (acreage undetermined) about 12 miles east of Kamas and north of East Shingle Lake in Wasatch-Cache National Forest. CAUSE: Information not available.
4 Lund Springs fire - About 6-8 acres burned in Jap Valley about five miles southeast of Scipio, Millard County. Fire actually in Sanpete County. Started Sunday from lightning strike about two to three days ago. Located in inaccessible area. FIREFIGHTERS: Monitored Monday by a Bureau of Land Management engine crew.
