SHARE INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE ACCEPTS OGDEN CITY RECORDER

Ogden City Recorder Gloria Berrett has been accepted as a member in the International Institute of Municipal Clerks Academy for Advanced Education of the International Institute of Municipal Clerks.

A candidate for membership in the academy must first attain the IIMC certification designation, attend a minimum of 36 hours of graduate courses at an IIMC-recognized municipal clerks institute or complete similar educational programs relating to the responsibilities of the municipal clerk's office.Berrett began working for Ogden as deputy city recorder in 1983. She assumed her present position as city recorder in September 1990. She is a volunteer worker at various city-sponsored festivals and is a member of the women's advocate group, Women in Man-age-ment.

She earned a IIMC-certified municipal clerk award in 1993 from a clerks institute sponsored by the University of Utah.

Berrett is president of the Utah Municipal Clerks Association and is a member of the board of directors of the Utah League of Cities and Towns.
