DEATH: KATHERINE GROW MAUGHAN

Katherine Grow Maughan, 72, died September 5, 1994 in St. George, Utah.

She was born in Hannibal, Missouri, January 27, 1922 to Champ and Isabel Fallon Steers. She was married to Hubert De Govia for four years. She married Stewart Grow in 1957, who passed away May 30, 1978. She married Datus Maughan in 1980. Mr. Maughan passed away in 1984.She received her education and graduated from high school in Hannibal, Missouri. She lived in Oklahoma City for about six years. In l947 she moved to Salt Lake City, Utah. She worked for the Teamster's Union and General Motor Acceptance Corp. for 15 years. She moved to Star Valley, Wyoming after Mr. Maughan's death. An avid golfer, she spent the winters in St. George, Utah. She was a member of the Catholic Church.

Survivors include her son, Jack De Govia, Los Angeles, California and three grandchildren, Mario De Govia, Berkeley, California; Katherine and Sienna De Govia, Los Angeles, California; a brother, Jack Steers, Hannibal, Missouri and a sister, Elizabeth Adams, St. Louis, Missouri.

Graveside services will be held Monday, September 12, 1994, 11 a.m., at the Salt Lake City Cemetery, 4th Avenue and N Street under direction of Metcalf Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Lung Association of Utah, 1930 South 1100 East, Salt Lake City, Utah.
