Los Angeles Raiders running back Napoleon McCallum was expected to be lost for the season after surgery to replace a ruptured artery in his left knee.

McCallum's left leg grotesquely twisted and the knee was dislocated on a tackle in the third quarter of the Raiders' 44-14 loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Monday night.
